How do I?

February 5th, 2007

Relinquish these tears to these petty words
They will Never be enough to encapsulate the void
The sister who asks if I am drunk
The mother who won’t let me hold the enfant
How do I make it go away?

Don’t let the masses fool you my friend
They are drunk on different spirits
Ride the wind on your pedals
Embrace the wind on the sunny dock
Let each fabric of nature touch you
That you may never die in her arms
Because his opposite is birth not life (more…)

Our death is our wedding with eternity.

February 3rd, 2007

Our death is our wedding with eternity.
What is the secret? “God is One.”
The sunlight splits when entering the windows of the house.
This multiplicity exists in the cluster of grapes;
It is not in the juice made from the grapes.
For he who is living in the Light of God,
The death of the carnal soul is a blessing.
Regarding him, say neither bad nor good,
For he is gone beyond the good and the bad. (more…)

It hangs just mid-air
Like an unsolved riddle
In the wizening glare

The Darkness

January 29th, 2007

He looked into his eyes
Oh, what did he see?
It was just a new born baby
Nothing simpler could be

Oh he looked into his eyes
And what did he see?
It was something more wonderful
Than ever he could be

But that man couldn’t go to anger
And he couldn’t find his tears
The beauty of survival
Was lost inside his fears

Moments passed before him
Of tender happiness and joy
Too few they were to free him
From the night’s soft employ

Dil Ki Nagari

January 27th, 2007

Dil Ki Is Sunehri Nagari Mein
Milte Jaate Hain Bahut Dilwale
Muskurahat Chahte Hain Sabhi
Par Yeh Chhale Karun Kiske Hawale?

In This Golden Land Of Love
I Keep Finding A Lot Of Lovers
They All Want My Smiles
But Who Do I Trust My Blisters With?

Of Optimism

January 17th, 2007

A winged dream jaunted by
And slowly whispered in his ear
I know you worry, but why?
Too often it is that worlds fall down
But at least you have got me

Fit In

January 5th, 2007

*This is my tribute to Objectivism*

What are you, if not a freak?
A faint red in midst of grey haze
A square peg in a round hole
A four fingered glove for five digits

You are a freak. You stand apart
A blemish on a perfectly plastic face
An earthworm in a pile of snakes
A maple leaf on a palm tree

Fishing

January 5th, 2007

How am I supposed to know
The colour of the sky on a cloudy day
Or the feeling that lies behind a smile?

How am I supposed to know
The intent of an invitation
To a party all know I will not attend?

Answers

January 3rd, 2007

Would you be a dream to play on a lonely breath of sun;
To see the reminders of amber leaves glistening as you run?

As the ancient man said long ago to his love upon the rocks,
“Cry long my dear to release the lies that bite like a golden fox.”

Turn and twist and tenderly tile the fragments ‘til complete.
One day perhaps you will have your answers kissing at your feet.

Have A Great 2007

January 2nd, 2007

Dole out the champagne and the strawberries
We celebrate the coming of another morose year
Bring out the party hats and glittery clothes

Do drink and drive then, crash into cars all the way (more…)

The Jungle Husband

November 30th, 2006

Dearest Evelyn, I often think of you
Out with the guns in the jungle stew
Yesterday I hittapotamus
I put the measurements down for you but they got lost in the fuss
It’s not a good thing to drink out here
You know, I’ve practically given it up dear.
