The stage contains no furniture except two bar chairs in the middle of the stage. On the left chair Bob is sitting. He is about 40 years old, very fat and looks weary and sad all through the act. On the right chair is Robin. He is lean and looks younger than Bob. The stage is lit by a flashlight pointing directly to the two chairs.

Bob (facing the audience): So we left the job.
Robin (facing the audience): Yes we left the job.
Bob and Robin together (singing): We left the job.
Robin: Or the job left us.
Bob: Don’t say that Robin.
Robin: Ok, we left the job.
Bob: Oh yes, we left the job, didn’t we.
Robin: Or the job left us, yes.
Bob: Yes, the job left us.
