Colour of roses
The roses, those are velvet red,
for so many urges they’ve fed.
Thorny bed like iron nails,
guides the fragrance that is spread.
All over the maiden green,
dew in the air dying to lean.
Buds of those carry scarlet delight
grows dark, whenever meets the sight,
like a maid of satin beauty,
chill dancing on her face so bright.
Rushing cold on her lips damp,
splendid as a rose, all dew swamp.
Symbol of love that dwells in hearts
grows in sunshine and sleeps with stars.
A milky twilight of winter lust,
opening petals, as the wave parts.
Majestic beauty and colour of roses
like magical urges, in different poses.

Very well written, I liked it. But truly speaking, I enjoy short story more, than poetry. Sorry Chetna, if I offended you.
You should come up with more beautiful thoughts through your poems, and I hope it will be soon. Wish you all the best for your next creation.

The moon is gone.
She fled as dawn approached.
Dawn as a slowly opening eye.
White sea birds skimming over the water,
looking for an early morning snack.
The mirror brightens.
From a blood moon at dawn to a mirror
reflecting waking life…
