A Thousand Wishes

Posted in Love, Lust, Neha Jhingon, Poems by Neha

There lie a thousand silences
In the gaps between your fingers
But only one resolute apeal
In the width of your hands lingers

Those fingers intertwine with mine
And I turn mute for days
Those hands scour my body
Of the thousand desires ablaze

The dark clouds gathered on my face
That you part with such finesse
And drown me in your silver glow
Playing with wisps of tenderness

Of the thousand wishes everyday
Can I pick the most benign?
Come back to me everyday my dear
And every day, just be mine…
