Death Of A Nervous Man

Posted in Kunal Goel, Short stories by Kunal Goel

“I don’t like it.”

“What do you mean you don’t like it? It was your idea; remember?

“I never thought you were serious about the whole affair.”

“I don’t care what you thought, you’ve got to do it,” he said, pointing the gun at him.

“Okay, okay,” he said, standing up.

Quickly he went to the other room, his heart beating wildly. The other man followed him.

She was sleeping there, blissfully unaware of the scheme of things. Without giving his mind a notice he grabbed her throat. She was quick awake, eyes popping, a scream inside her throat. She never had a chance. Suddenly aware of the sweat formation on his face, he wiped it with her gown. She was smiling.

Was she dead?

Or was he?

Is this extracts taken from novels/books?
    Is it real-life…. :(
Is it fiction by yourself in Jeffrey Archer’s episodic best, style?
All of these paras are leaving me thinking – no conclusion yet!
