Lullabye

Posted in Neha Jhingon, Poems by Neha

Hush Little baby,
Don’t you cry
Mama has work
She cant come by

Close your little eyes
And rest your weary soul
Mama will be home soon
She’s on a payroll

Hush little baby,
Don’t you weep
The world is cruel
But please do sleep

Daddy will come
When the hour is late
He’ll bring you toys
Now why do you hate?

Hush little baby
Don’t speak a word
Monsters under your bed
They can’t be deterred

We’ll be together soon
Little baby, now smile
Always beware though
Of the evil world’s guile…
