Indian Idol And Me
Ok, this is what happened. I was watching tv, Indian Idol was on. Sonu Nigam, Farah Khan and Anu Malik were judging the contestants and I was generally enjoying the show. Just then Megha turned up on tv. I know she used to sing good but for Indian Idol! It had been three years since I last saw her and she hadn’t changed much. She was looking beautiful. She was confident on tv. So she said hello to the judges and started singing a hindi funeral song. It was a very sad song and she was singing it quite well. Anu Malik had tears in his eyes, Sonu Nigam’s eyes were wet and Farah Khan was crying. I too started crying. Megha sang her song for full five minutes and when she finished all the three judges clapped in her praise. I switched off the tv, I couldn’t bear it any more. To pass the time I picked out a book from my large collection. It was the new book Shalimar the clown by Salman Rushdie. He had dedicated the book to Megha. With all his love. I put down the book and switched on my computer. I had three thousand naked pics of Megha on my computer. I started browsing them. I masturbated. The doorbell rang. It was Megha. Long time I said, opening the door. She didn’t reply. She was naked. I took her in my arms. She had a sharp butcher knife in her right hand. She stabbed my back with it. I cried out with pain. She stabbed my neck with it. She killed me. Then she started singing the funeral song she sang on Indian Idol. Everyone clapped in her praise.
