Musical theorem
If you listen very closely, people have the most interesting stories. Listen
A girl told one of my friends in college how her ex-boyfriend was a sloppy kisser. She told him he had interesting lips.
Another friend told me how one her friend got strange face allergies whenever she made out with her boyfriend.
My school buddy finally met a girl who actually did like him. They usually met out in this old storage room; I have at the back of my house. It was usually cold in that storage room and she liked to talk a lot.
It’s said that if you play Tetris an infamously addictive game for exactly three weeks without taking breaks, People look like bricks and everybody has a different color. Its fun, until you want everything to fit its logical conclusion. Listen
The girl with the weird face allergies. She got dumped by her boyfriend. She often thinks about him.
My school buddy broke up with girl who actually did like him. She complained it was his excessive excursion into illegal chemicals. He blamed her new hobby, talking exclusively about religion. They don’t talk anymore.
My friend from college is still a virgin.
Listening to stories and keeping one’s own sanity comes from practice. It’s how you nod once in a while. Sometimes distraction helps, ordering the fifth cup of tea or lighting up another yet another cigarette. The best way so far is to keep interrupting. Add one of your own anecdotes. Laugh or try to smile once in a while. Sometimes Simple questions help. Was the girl cute? How long did they go out? It adds to one’s own mental picture it adds to giving in your own personal input.
It adds up to Tetris blocks fitting in perfect position
It’s the best thing you can do instead of watching mindless television for hours on a day. I return to stories and the sources. What happened to the girl with the face allergies? What is she up to now? Is your ex-girlfriend still into religion?
Sometimes not often you stumble upon some basic statement that makes perfect sense. Was there any music playing in the background? Listen
Studying in a liberal art college has its perks. Females here will talk about anything.
So more talking ensues, about many things but as every discussion stems from basic themes, here the theme was making out.
Here comes out mathematical equations. Here comes out a mental survey of numbers and digital digits. Here comes out some recurring sentences, some basic patterns. Listen
No one really talked about taking precautions. It was usually about what are the coolest and best places to do it. It was about how much makeup one should wear. It was about how lip gloss is a girl’s best friend. It was about how saliva and bad breath are such turnoffs. It was about musical selection. Listen
Girls when it comes down to it have the most amazing sense of humor. When you talk about songs about musical taste and interject that with making out it has the most hilarious after effects. Listen
Mehr is tired of college assignments. She likes techno music. “It’s repetitive and has no lyrics in it” she says. Mehr is easily distracted. Go figure
Hira hasn’t made out in a long time. But her choices were more towards Hip hop and RNB, Who in their right minds would listen to heavy metal? “Man that would suck” she says.
Zahra who thinks in fatalities thinks the Urdu song “meno note dekha mera mood bane” translated would simply mean Show me money so I can get in the mood would not be very funny and would raise feminist issues right on that red sofa.
Sofia hates men with long hair. Her idea of a perfect wreck would be looking at her long haired date bang his head to the obviously gay song “I believe in a thing called love” by the darkness and play stupid air guitar.
Ayesha is a writer friend who believes everything has it deadlines. Her ultimate deadline was Britney Spears. “I would have no time to make out. I would be puking all over the guy” she says.
And yes the winner of this article is that you don’t need music. You can hear music in each others breath.
Don’t worry that’s not a females opinion.
