Sleepless husband’s second thoughts
Let us get bored tonight,
Listening to the beatles.
Watching some old television show,
Or reading some old comic book,
Or maybe we can do nothing at all.
Can we do that? Can we? Yes we
Can do that why not. Sure, why not, but
You didn’t just say “get bored” did you?
Cuz, no offence sweetheart, but we already,
Spend every day getting bored, don’t we?
But ain’t life boredom, or ain’t boredom this life?
No you got that wrong, I meant,
Let’s just go to sleep tonight, and hope
We get some interesting dreams.
