Hide and No Seek
So we turned the lights off. And began to not look for it. We thought we didn’t see something for a second. But a passing headlight drenched it in godforsaken light and we caught sight of it almost immediately. Damn French window. Why did we have to be so pretentious? Now we’ll never know if it really wasn’t there.
