On Pigeons

Posted in Kunal Goel, Poems by Kunal Goel

These pigeons in my balcony,
Fighting with each other,
Brutally.
One masturbating.
One pruning its feathers.
One circling with a bloated throat.
I wonder what,
Motivates them to fly,
From this balcony,
To that tree branch?
Do they think it’s cool,
To fly here and there,
Meaninglessly, without care?
Or do they have a purpose,
Unknown to me,
Which keeps them alive,
Keeps them flying,
From my balcony,
To that tree branch?
They make me think.
They make me think.

-Kunal Goel

PS: Damn! the last two lines look pretentious.

Kunal.. masterpiece man… the genius in you has awakened, at last. Neha.. if you are reading this comment, I suggest you to get in touch with Kunal and learn the psycho-social-sexual charachteristics of pigeons, so that u can handle the pigeons at your flat.
