Dear Diary
Mom always told me to be careful of men. She told me I should make a prudent choice when the time came. I see him sleeping besides me and I feel sorry that I didn’t listen to her back then. Of all the things she used to say, I regret not having listened to this particular advice.
When my sister got married, we were all very happy for her. They seemed to be in love. 2 months later, she said to me – don’t marry the worst mistake of your life. It was a punchline of one matrimony site ad. Seemed funny then, but I’m not laughing now.
Yesterday he finished the last of the shampoo leaving me in a mess on a very important day. Last month, I was very sick and thought I was coming down with the flu. I told him that. Next day he brought seven of his friends along with their wives for dinner. I hated him so much that day.
I try to get along with his friends. Although he knows I do not like it when they do drugs in our home. He would never try to get along with any of my friends. Not even my relatives.
He hates it if I go out with my friends or shop with them, but he’s always too busy to spend time with me.
I wonder if marrying him was the most intelligent thing I ever did.
