Patience
You watch with bated breath as he walks towards you. His step is tantalizingly slow and you are fast running out of breath. Your mind is in a tumult.
The breath between you could be miles. From this distance, you can’t even see his face. Yet you can imagine each line, each plane, each curve and each angle of it. You can see the hair falling over his eyes. You wonder what those eyes behold. Those eyes of his.
The clear blue water sparkles behind him and for just a second, he becomes a blur as you look at the vast crystal blue.
The sea gulls. Their shrill chirps. You feel so at home. so at ease. He is taking form now. Bit by bit. And yet he seems to be fading away. Like sand in the wind. As if he were made of sand. And the winds were taking him on an adventure. Bit by bit.
You wonder if he would reach you… or dissolve into the air before having the chance of taking you into his arms.
You close her eyes. Let time decide. You wonder what it would be like when you open your eyes.
Patience… Patience…
